Peer Alliance Recovery Centers Support Recovery Journey

“Conversations on the Block” (94.7 FM) with Miss Pat Robinson featured a conversation with William Eddins and Wilbert Del Carmen, two Peer Professionals from our Peer Alliance Recovery Centers (PARC) in Queens and the Bronx.

During the interview, they openly shared their own experiences with substance use disorder and how they use that lived experience to support others as trained peer professionals. Through street outreach and peer-led programming, William and Wilbert distribute Narcan, connect people to treatment and resources, and offer encouragement to those navigating their recovery journeys.

Each year, the centers serve more than 4,000 people with recovery coaching, workshops, and life-saving support.
