Who are Peer Recovery Professionals?
Peers are individuals with lived experience of substance use disorder—either personally or through a family member—who use that experience to support others in their recovery. They provide non-clinical, compassionate guidance and are key members of the recovery support team.
PARC’s training programs are approved by the New York Certification Board (ASAP-NYCB) and require participants to sign the NYCB Code of Ethical Conduct. All trainers are members of the ASAP-NYCB Trainer Registry and authorized to deliver courses that count toward certification as a Peer Recovery Professional.
