Permanent Housing

Samaritan Daytop Village’s Permanent Supportive Housing Program has long-term housing solutions for individuals and families who need both affordable housing and ongoing support. We currently operate 180 supportive housing units across New York City.

The program goal is:

is to create a bridge to self-sufficiency. By supporting clients as they work toward financial stability and independence,  Samaritan Daytop Village works with clients to ensure they have the resources needed to maintain their housing long-term.

The program offers approved clients:

Affordable Housing Units

Clients contribute typically pay 30% of their monthly adjusted income toward the apartment’s monthly rent payment.

Rental Assistance

We assist clients with obtaining rental assistance such as FHEPS, CityFHEPS, and Section 8 to help make housing affordable.

Case Management Services

Our team helps clients access additional support services in the community, including healthcare, employment, and social services.

Important Information

Samaritan Daytop Village does not accept direct applications for housing or provide rental vouchers or assistance. Housing referrals are only processed through the NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) Intake Centers. Our Case Managers assist clients in navigating the application process and provide guidance. Frequently Asked Questions

If you are placed in a residential treatment facility, you will be residing at that program for the duration of your treatment. Throughout your time with us, we will work to connect you with a specialist in housing as well as job training and vocational specialists to help you find employment and supportive, low-cost housing options.
