Recognizing Compassion: DailyPay Celebrates 2025 Healthcare Heroes

DailyPay, the leading On-Demand Pay platform and financial wellness solution, announces the recipients of its ‘Healthcare Heroes’ Awards.

Now in its fourth year, this award is granted to frontline healthcare professionals and workers of DailyPay clients for their dedication to their patients. The Healthcare Heroes Awards recognize these professionals for their work improving patient care, cultivating a supportive work environment, and advancing their organization through continuous learning.

“The individuals we honor in the 2025 Healthcare Hero Awards embody compassionate leadership and dedication,” says Ed Zaval, Chief Customer Officer at DailyPay. “We’re proud to recognize the essential and impactful work they perform on the front lines of healthcare every day.”

With the holiday season upon us, DailyPay is highlighting Healthcare Heroes for the work they do every day.

1. Anarosa Soto, Lead Licensed Practical Nurse at Samaritan Daytop Village, Inc.

What sets Anarosa apart is her unwavering dedication to the clients at Samaritan Daytop Village. Anarosa goes the extra mile, whether by staying late to ensure continuity of care, or mentoring team members to uphold best practices. Her professionalism, empathy, and leadership make her an invaluable asset to the organization.

“Being a healthcare hero isn’t about having the job title, it’s about the heart behind the work,” says Anarosa. “To me, it means showing up for people on their hardest days, putting compassion into action, and the commitment to keep helping because you know it matters.”

2. Mary Wieland, Licensed Practical Nurse at Transitions Healthcare Allens Cove

Mary consistently offers exceptional, detail-focused care to every resident she serves at Transitions Healthcare Allens Cove. She is a trusted source of knowledge for the entire nursing department and is always willing to assist colleagues.

“To me, being a Healthcare Hero means showing compassion and understanding to all patients, while providing quality care to ensure that each of my residents receive the best care that I can provide,” Mary says. “Being a Healthcare Hero is only possible with a supportive team behind you, who encourage you to do your best every day.”

3. Megan Harsh, Oncology Care Associate at Karamanos Cancer Institute

Megan is responsible for the flow of patients in a busy Oncology Office at Karamanos Cancer Institute. She goes out of her way each day by preparing for clinics by ensuring appropriate lab orders are entered into the system. And she does all of this with a smile on her face.

“This is an incredible honor and a reminder of why I show up every day, supporting patients during some of the hardest moments of their lives,” says Megan. “This recognition means so much because it reflects the compassion, dedication, and teamwork that I strive to bring to every patient interaction.”

4. Sarah Wilkinson, Certified Nursing Assistant at Buffalo Crossings Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

Sarah joined the Buffalo Crossings Healthcare team as a brand new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) back in November 2023. The care Sarah provides to her residents is marked by sincerity, authenticity, and a true commitment to their well-being.

“Being a healthcare worker means showing compassion and strength even on the hardest days,” Sarah says. “It also means committing myself to continuously wanting to learn and grow so I can make a real difference in the lives of others.”

5. Bev White, Licensed Practical Nurse at Alton Memorial Rehab & Therapy

Bev always brings a caring demeanor and clinical experience to her job at Alton Memorial Rehab & Therapy. Most recently, she has been at the bedside of a resident without family, and helped provide them with emotional support during a trying time. Bev always listens to her resident’s concerns and questions, while also being a mother and grandmother outside of work.

“I enjoy being a nurse, it’s in my nature to care for others,” Bev says. “I enjoy seeing a smile on my residents’ faces – it makes my heart happy!”

6. William Cato, Field Supervisor at Elara Caring

In William’s role as a supervisor for their direct care team at Elara Caring, he visits clients on a daily basis to ensure they are meeting or exceeding service expectations. He sets the tone with a positive first impression when visiting new clients. He truly embodies Elara Caring’s core values.

William says, “Do all you can do because all you can do is enough.”
