NYC Mayor Announces

Last night, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced his “Turning the Tide on Homelessness” plan. In his speech, he outlined a comprehensive initiative to end the use of cluster and hotel sites as shelters as well as a range of policy reforms. At the announcement was Pedro Gonzalez, a new tenant at one of our veterans residences in the Bronx. Gonzalez, a formerly homeless veteran and an accomplished violinist, is currently working on his Associates degree in Criminal Justice at LaGuardia Community College and is seeking employment. He was thrilled to meet the Mayor in person and be there for this historic announcement.
