We Are “Stronger With You”

Since 1960, Samaritan Daytop Village has grown into one of New York’s most significant health and human services non-profit agencies. Clients benefit from an expansive list of services at over 60 facilities across 10 counties.

Still, lives continue to be disrupted as a result of the opioid epidemic, homeless and immigration crises, systemic racism, and fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, New Yorkers are increasingly turning to Samaritan Daytop Village more than ever. The nonprofit’s continued growth, overwhelming need to expand its programs and facilities, and increased expenses due to inflation urgently call for an even stronger response from you, our community.

We know that we cannot meet these increasing needs without generous help. Only through your support are we “Stronger With You.”

This year, the Samaritan Daytop Foundation Gala aims to raise $1 million to help serve 33,000 New Yorkers each year. The Gala moves to a new location, the Mandarin Oriental in Manhattan, and is scheduled for Wednesday, October 11, 2023. The reception begins at 6:30 PM, with dinner starting at 7:30 PM.

We are excited to share our list of honorees with you. LaTanya Richardson Jackson & Samuel L. Jackson will receive the Heartfelt Award for lending their platform to help New Yorkers in need. Gloria Binkowitz will be presented with the Over the Top Award, which recognizes community members and staff who have contributed significantly to uplifting others and the lives of people Samaritan Daytop Village serves.
