What Street Outreach Looks Like During a Cold Snap

1010 WINS reporter Lynda Lopez spent time with our Peer Alliance Recovery Center (PARC) team in Queens to capture what street outreach looks like in the extreme cold. Our peer professionals—people with lived experience—are out every day, meeting people experiencing substance use disorder where they are with warm supplies like socks, hats, and hand warmers, alongside life-saving tools like Narcan.

Our PARC sites located in Queens and the Bronx serve more than 4,000 people each year through outreach efforts—no matter the weather.
