Samaritan Daytop Village’s PARC (Peer Alliance Recovery Center) held its 3rd Annual Bronx Community Fair at the St. Mary’s Park Amphitheatre in the Bronx.
The event featured free health screenings, wellness activities, and resource booths. Free Narcan and wound care kits, as well as fentanyl and xylazine test strips, were distributed along with other giveaways.
This year, the fair showcased PARC’s peer-led Food As Medicine initiative, which integrates nutrition education, culinary therapy, and chronic disease prevention into substance use recovery services.
